Becoming a mum changed                    

Becoming a mum reshaped the way I see families and photography itself.

I realised how easy it is to always be the one behind the camera. How often mothers document everyone else’s lives while barely existing in the frame themselves.

Now I understand how important it is to be in the photographs too, for your children, and for the future version of you who will one day look back and remember just how deeply you loved.

There were many moments in my children’s early years where I was simply in survival mode. Looking back now, I’m incredibly grateful to have photographs of them when they were tiny, because they’ve changed more than I ever imagined they would in what feels like the blink of an eye.

These images have become part of our family story.
Proof of a season that passed far too quickly.

And it’s why this work means so much to me.

Photographing families genuinely brings me joy.

Not just because I love photography, but because I understand how quickly these years move.

The days can feel long, but the seasons are fleeting.

I’ve returned to family photography because it’s where my heart has always been.

Now that I’m raising children of my own, I feel time passing in a way I never did before.

I notice the little changes. The growth.

The quiet shifts that happen year by year.

I want families to have photographs that hold onto this season, not because life is perfect, but because it’s meaningful.
