About Katie

I've been a photographer for 20 years, but it wasn't until I had my own two beautiful boys that I truly understood the value of family photography.

Like many people, I used to roll my eyes when I heard oldies say things like 'they grow up so fast', but now I find the same words escaping my lips.

I've watched in awe as my precious babes have gone from defenceless little newborns, to taking their first steps and now I watch in dismay as they run off in opposite directions in Bunnings.

One thing I know for sure: time IS flying by.

I would love the honour of capturing your family for you, so you can have beautiful memories to look back on and cherish when you're old and grey.

Hi, I'm Katie.

WE CAN FREEZE TIME.

WE CAN RE-FEEL EMOTIONS

Images of your precious baby giving you a sweet cuddle, your giggly, rambunctious toddler flying through the air, or your beautiful parents relishing their role as grandparents. You will be transported back in time and you’ll find yourself feeling the warm emotions of those moments all over again.

There's nothing we can do to stop time passing... but we can freeze time! We can capture the connection you share in THIS season, so you can remember it forever.

REASONS I LOVE PHOTOGRAPHING FAMILIES

WE HAVE HEAPS OF FUN!

Spending the afternoon running around with kids and families is heaps of fun!

Your photo session becomes intentional family time, where you get to pause from the chaos of everyday life to spend some quality time together.

We create an environment where fun moments unfold and special memories are captured.

I (re-)met my husband Baz at my brother's wedding.
They were best friends in high school. He was the best man and I was a bridesmaid. So cliché, I know.

I'm a Mum of two crazy energetic boys. They are 18 months apart but I get asked weekly if they are twins.

I'm a Toowoomba girl, born and bred! I was born in St Vincents hospital, which is where my Mum was born and where I gave birth to both my boys.

I have a pet peacock named Feathers. I don't want to brag, but he's pretty obsessed with me. He follows me around all day and sits at my window while I edit.  We are very lucky to live on acreage at 'Kookaburra Creek' Mount Rascal...  we won't ever be able to move because peacocks can live up to 60 years!

I've been to over 25+ countries! My life as a photographer has literally taken me around the world! I've shot destination weddings, taught photography workshops and have spoken at conferences internationally. I have also volunteered my skills to small charities work overseas. I'm so thankful for the journey my camera has taken me on.
